Enterprise security vendor, Crossbeam Systems, has devised a rebate program for partners to propel security replacement sales.
Known as the Crossbeam Technology Refresh rebate program, the one-year program offers instant rebates to distributors, resellers and end-users who purchase from its C-Series range, A/NZ country manager, Peter Owen, said.
"We are seeing a lot of legacy platforms in the market and one of the propositions from our end-users and resellers was to put a program together to help target that particular refresh technology market," he said. "It's not a trade-up or trade-in program, it's a refresh program. We are not asking end-users or resellers to return devices, we want them to register what they are refreshing and if we're satisfied then they'll qualify for the refresh rebate."
Owen said the program would also be applicable to its service bundling arrangement with Firewall Systems, which was launched in December.
The rebates are scaleable depending on the type of C-Series product purchased. For example, rebates on the entry-level C6 product start from $US30 for distributors, $US70 for resellers and $US700 for end-users.
"It depends on the device that is sold as to how much of a rebate partners will receive. As we get to the C30 range, end-users are eligible for a $US2750 rebate," he said.
Depending on the success of the program, Owen said he would consider extending it beyond its 12-month period, or devise another program with similar traits.
He plans to roll out more partner programs within the next six months.
"It's a bit of milestone in our development because we now actually have the market presence to introduce programs like this," he said.
Owen said he planned to push partner numbers from five up to 12 within the next 18 months.
