Aurion's Events Manager simplifies self service

 • 30 March, 2006 13:37

Brisbane-based HR software firm Aurion has released details of its new Events Manager (EM) tool, which further automates Aurion's Self Service and Forms modules and auto-updates staff information.

EM uses rule sets to define trigger events, workflow pathways and create forms to directly update Aurion.

Aurion national sales manager, Paul MacRae, said: “Using internet-based self service forms and workflow, EM makes available a potentially unlimited range of highly customised, configurable HR functions. For example, a manager with an employee on probation will be alerted when the probation period is about to end.

He added: “EM configures an online form to allow the manager to choose from a range of outcomes, and also configures the form's flow-through processes based on the decision he or she makes.

"If, for example, the manager approved the probationer's move to permanent staff, then EM could be programmed to update status to permanent, automatically apply any salary increase that was pending probation approval and notify payroll staff that the change had been applied."

EM will be most appropriate for customers that operate as a group of companies or business units with high autonomy and differing processes.

"This is a major enhancement and like all Aurion products and services, it is supported for life," Mr MacRae said. "It gives proactive, just-in-time access to business data. It's relevant, accurate and appropriate."
