Juniper Networks has recruited three staff members to augment its channel position.
The networking vendor has brought on two A/NZ channel account managers - Rob Finn for distribution and Stephen Evans for its Telstra account - along with Clare Crew as channel marketing manager. All three are newly created roles.
Channel director, Sander Dales, said the extra numbers would allow the company to focus on more specific areas of its reseller base as well as identify new areas of development.
"These roles are a natural extension of functions we were doing that have grown over the last 12-18 months," he said. "The significant thing for Juniper is that we look after these sections to support channel partners more effectively."
Finn would be responsible for implementing the company's distribution strategy and recruiting new partners, Dales said. He was previously a Cisco employee for seven years where he held various positions including enterprise channel account manager.
"Rob will ensure that we have the right distribution infrastructure to support the revenues that we expect and to look at how we can better leverage our partners to grow the business," Dales said.
Prior to joining Juniper, Evans worked at Telstra for five years within its business and government division. Now the channel account manager for Telstra, Dales said he would look into business opportunities for Juniper. He would also be responsible for providing updated training and technical information for Telstra technicians.
Crew's focus would be on developing channel marketing strategies, Dales said. Her background includes channel management stints with Optus, Vodafone and Seagate.
