EAA starts up VoIP service

Comments

Components distributor, Electronic Accessories Australia (EAA), has collaborated with Dedicated Services to provide a VoIP service - Capped Telecom.

EAA general manager, Rick Williams, said it had taken on a VoIP service due to growing demand for the technology.

"We have been working on launching this type of service for a couple of years, but it wasn't great quality then," he said. "With technology moving a lot faster now, it has made it much easier to provide quality services."

A variety of capped residential and business VoIP services would be provided by EAA from its Queensland office, starting from $49 a month. It would also offer users ADSL and phone line rental at discounted prices as well as the ability to view calls through an online real-time billing scheme.

The Capped Telecom Box and Service package would be offered to EAA resellers in the next couple of weeks. Williams said it would be available nationally in a few months.

He also has plans to offer the VoIP service to retailers such as Retravision and Harvey Norman.
