Canon: MP260 and MP370
Canon Australia has launched two multifunction devices designed for the home or small office, the imageCLASS MP360 and MP370. The devices deliver colour home printing, copying, and scanning as well as the PictBridge compliant multifunction device, which lets users connect any PictBridge enabled digital camera, irrespective of brand, straight to the Imageclass MP370 via a USB cable to print photos (and no computer is required). Both the Imageclass MP360 and MP370 feature: high-speed printing (up to 18 ppm black, 12 ppm colour); borderless, full-bleed printing and copying on A4, 5” x 7” and 6” x 4” photo paper; fast colour copying at 12 copies per minute, mono copying at 18 copies per minute; and high-resolution 1200 x 2400 dpi optical scanning. The photo printing feature for the MP370 can be done either direct from a Canon digital camera or compatible memory cards or via a computer with the MP360. As a printer, the Imageclass MP360 and MP370 are capable of print speeds of up to 18 ppm mono and 12 ppm colour. They use Easy-PhotoPrint / Easy-PhotoPrint Plus software to produce high quality photos in just three steps and are equipped with Vivid Photo printing which makes photographs appear more vibrant. This is particularly useful for photos taken with incorrect exposure. Maicrofine Droplet Technology delivers two and five picolitre droplets to refine colour, precision and detail. Image resolution is as high as 4800 x 1200 dpi. Canon’s High Intensity Colour Inks realise, richly-graded colour images. When printed on Canon Professional Photo Paper, durable colourfast prints can last up to 25 years. The imageCLASS MP360 and MP370 have a recommended retail price of $299 and $399, respectively.
