SAP is on the hunt for a new batch of resellers to cover its Business One solutions for SMBs.
Channels director for A/NZ, Tim Cavill, said the enterprise software vendor was predominantly looking for partners servicing regional areas.
"While we would like to see existing resellers expand, we also need to look at new resellers in outlying areas such as North Queensland, Wollongong, Newcastle and major towns in country Victoria," he said.
Since kicking off our Partner Edge program in late 2003, SAP had recruited 25 resellers for the product set. According to Cavill, it would deliberately limit its latest partner drive to a small band of resellers.
"We would rather have a handful of resellers that are really solid businesses than simply saying we have added 50 per cent more partners into the model," he said.
SAP would also explore new reseller opportunities for its more upmarket mySAP All-in-One solution, which involves a greater level of reseller support through customisation options. It currently keeps 11 resellers for this solution on its books.
