Brisbane-based whitebox components distributor, Xpress IT, has launched a new dealer website to improve its traction in the market place.
Reseller account manager, Paul Watson, said the closure of Omega presented a good opportunity for the company to capitalise on the market.
"Since our biggest competitor went bust, we have been looking at ways to grow our PC building business," he said. "Most of our sales are now made through our website. Hopefully, it will help us attract more resellers and gain more coverage."
The new site allows authorised resellers to access more than 700 products ranging from laptops to PC components such as memory, motherboards and hard-drives. It also processes warranty returns and contains an online help centre for reseller queries, delivery requests, online payment facilities and ordering.
"Instead of spending a lot of time and staff energy on sourcing components from five different places, resellers can just place an order online at one place," Watson said.
Xpress IT is also aggressively recruiting more resellers and would be launching a point-based loyalty rewards program within the next six months to attract more partners to its site.
"At the moment we are just concentrating on getting it in all place and making sure everything on the site works," Watson said.
