Optima Centoris W259

Optima's Centoris W259 Series notebook features a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD, making it ideal for work and play, whether it be digital content creation, watching DVDs or making presentations. Weighing under 3kg, the W259 Series uses Intel Centrino mobile technology including Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG WLAN, to deliver a stable and superior mobile performance. It has a built-in memory card reader for MMC, SD and Memory Stick, built-in firewire, three USB ports, DVD+/-RW burner drive, and an S-video TV-out port for connection to TV. QDI Millenium 8050D

QDI Technology Australia has released the Millenium 8050D notebook which supports the Intel Pentium-M/Dothan processor. Other features include a 15.4-inch TFT LCD (WXGA) screen, 128MB ATI Mobility 9700 AGP, 256MB DDR RAM (333Mhz), 40GB HDD (5400rpm), DVD/RW (Dual Format), 3x USB 2.0, 56K modem and ethernet, firewire, VGA, S-Video out; 2W (per channel) stereo speakers, and a two-year warranty (courier collect and return) with accidental damage cover. Todaytech M400A

Based on the new Intel Centrino Sonoma Platform, Todaytech has released a new 15-inch barebone notebook, the M400A. It features the Intel Pentium M Processor 730~770 (1.60~2.13GHz, 90nm, FSB533, 2MB L2 cache, mPGA478) and Serial ATA Hard Drive. M400A is a compact performance driven machine, according to the company. For graphics capability, M400A offers 128MB DDR ATi M26 (x700) High Performance Graphics and PCI Express 16X. On the digital media front, M400A features Intel Azaliz High Definition Audio Interface with SRS (Sound Retrieval System)/WOW 3D sound technology. For communications, M400A features integrated CMOS camera and Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG (54Mbps, 802.11a/b/g) MiniPCI WLAN. M400A. The product is distributed in Australia by Todaytech. RRP: $1550

Twinhead 15B

Twinhead's efio!15B consumer notebook features high performance graphics and integrated wireless capabilities in a tough, semi-ruggedised package. Powered by Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, the efio!15B accommodates up to 1GB of DDR memory and is ideal for frequent travellers, mobile business professionals, on-the-go government officials, students, small or home offices, at home users and visual performance-demanding designers, according to the company. The notebook comes with a 15-inch SXGA+ TFT LCD screen readable 16-million plus colour display at resolutions up to 1400 x 1050. Its high performance ATI M11Mobility Radeon 9700 graphic chipset features AGP 8X hardware, 2D/3D video graphic accelerators, a high performance 3D engine and 128 megabytes of dedicated video memory. The Twinhead efio!15B's Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG LAN keeps owners 'plugged into' the Internet as well as office, school or professional networks. It comes with a choice of fast, high capacity hard drives. A Combo drive and a DVD Dual Recorder are available. On the connectivity front, the notebook includes three USB 2.0 ports, a PCMCIA Type II slot, external monitor plug, a line out connection and a microphone jack. Its embedded PCI Bus 16-bit Sound Blaster-compatible sound system is AC97 version 2.2 compliant and comes with dual 1.5W speakers. The notebook is distributed exclusively in Australia by Twinhead. Pioneer Computers Australia has released the 300N Valuebook notebook, which features an Intel Celeron-Mobile 1.6Ghz processor, 14.1-inch XGA TFT, 30GB hard-disk drive, 256MB DDR RAM, 24x CD-ROM, up to 64MB Shared VGA, 10/100M LAN, 56K modem, 802.11b Wireless Module (optional), mini firewire port, TV out, 2 USB 2.0 ports, SB Pro Compatible with S/PDIF output, microphone-in jack, Linspire (formerly Lindows), and a one-year warranty. The product is distributed in Australia by Pioneer Computers. RRP: $999
