Security software vendor, Sophos, has created five new positions to handle its growing local channel.
The appointments arrive as the vendor continues its review of 198 applications for new resellers in the SMB space.
"We recently made a small business recruitment drive to bring on new resellers and are still reviewing applications," Sophos channel sales manager, Zoe Nicholson, said.
Stefanie Ko and Stuart Wilson will look after newly recruited dealers in channel account manager roles.
Sophos has also appointed former EDS and Tech Pacific staffer, Frank Cesarini, to the role of national channel development manager and Daniel Nyssen as channel business development manager, southern region.
Nyssen comes from the software vendor's UK office.
New Zealand also figures in the company's expansion plans, with another Sophos staffer, Jodie Burnell-Jones, appointed internally to look after NSW, Queensland, NT and NZ.
Among the SMB resellers already signed from the 198 applications are Centra Networks and Equard.
If Sophos appoints 100 new dealers from its current partner recruitment drive, it would have about 350 SMB resellers in Australia and New Zealand.
