American Power Conversion Offers Pre-Configured Versions of InfraStruXure: an Integrated Power, Cooling and Rack Architecture

<p>APC’s New Pre-Configured InfraStruXure Systems Offer Users Comprehensive, Easy-to-Order and Install Solutions for Computer Rooms and Communications Closets</p>
<p>SYDNEY, 12 July 2004 – American Power Conversion (APC) today announced the availability of its InfraStruXure architecture in a variety of pre-configured offerings designed for small to medium sized businesses and branch locations of enterprise customers. These new systems are easy to install, can be ordered with one part number, and do not require use of configuration tools.</p>
<p>The new InfraStruXure systems are available in packages of one to five rack enclosures and come equipped with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) ranging from 3.0 kVA to 20.0 kVA. In addition, each system comes with rack power distribution units, cable management brackets, temperature monitoring, built-in management capabilities, and optional service offerings (14 different bundles are available to suit specific server room requirements).</p>

<p>InfraStruXure enables IT managers to select a variety of standardised rack, power, and cooling components to create a customised and integrated platform for IT equipment. This approach provides the reliability, affordability and predictability of standardised solutions, yet is completely customised to solve specific problems.</p>
<p>The InfraStruXure design also allows users to purchase additional capacity only when needed, eliminating the need to over purchase for future growth needs. Additional batteries and components can be purchased and installed only when needed via simple “building blocks”.</p>

<p>The newly designed bundled systems are currently available in Australia and New Zealand. Recommended retail price including GST for Australia from A$11,200.00 to A$60,000.00 and New Zealand from NZ$12,900.00 to NZ$70,500.00.</p>
