Demand is increasing for the next level of Linux skills in Australian enterprise and data centres, according to Red Hat, as it introduced its full suite of Red Hat Architect (RHCA) exams locally.
Launched in the US in 2004, the RHCA is the capstone to the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and the Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT). While the vendor has been offering selected RHCA exams in Australia this year, it will offer the full range next year.
"The curriculum emphasizes technology and processes for software deployment, systems management, directory services and authentication, storage management, system monitoring, performance tuning, and advanced network services and security," Services Manager Peter Durie said.
"Enterprises want to be sure that their staff are skilled to deliver the services required for Red Hat Linux in mission-critical environments. RHCA is a certification that ensures staff are properly equipped with the skills to deliver the services required," he said.
Red Hat Training was launched six years ago providing some 17,000 Red Hat Certified Engineers, 10,000 Red Hat Certified Technicians, and more than 200,000 students worldwide, according to the vendor.
