Software vendor, Sage Group, has launched a new Sales Academy to sharpen partner selling skills.
The program would help resellers grow and develop their businesses, according to Sage ACCPAC general manager, Daithi Holden. It was also targeted at educating them about current market issues and trends.
"The market is constantly evolving and this will help businesses engage with that," he said.
"We are not going out there with this program to recruit new resellers, it's there to help our partners better understand the market strategies of today as opposed to last year or the year before."
The Sage Sales Academy incorporates three primary courses, beginning with a five and a half day sales support stream.
The vendor will also offer a course specifically designed for sales managers as well as an advanced selling module.
Introduced at the vendor's Evolve partner conference last week, the first full sales support course is scheduled to take place in February. Future sessions would run every six months, with up to 40 partners participating each time, Holden said.
