Grant to drive Tectura's vertical charge

Microsoft and Axapta reseller, Tectura, has appointed a business development manager in Queensland to help fuel its national expansion plans.

The appointment of David Grant comes in the wake of a new sales and management team, along with the acquisition of global IT services company, Aston Business Solutions.

Grant will focus on grafting business solutions for specific vertical markets from the company's Brisbane office. The company also has a presence in Sydney and Melbourne.

Market sectors could include life sciences like biotechnology, pharmaceutical, agricultural and human therapeutic, as well as care services including aged care, and the manufacturing and distribution industries.

Whatever the vertical, Grant said he planned to help mid to large organisations adopt ERP solutions and integrate their applications. The push would commence in January.

"Getting integration across a customer's software applications is of paramount importance," he said.

Grant has extensive experience selling vertical applications, having invented a product used in the construction industry.

He was previously at Mainpac, an Australian supplier of enterprise asset management software that sells software and services to the manufacturing, mining and fleet industries in Queensland and South-East Asia.
