Samsung unveils 2MB SIM card

Samsung has just unveiled a 3G cell phone SIM card at the smartcard fiesta currently taking place in Paris that is the CARTES 2005 exhibition. Technically speaking, the S3FJ91L SIM is a 2Mb (that's twice the current max) flash memory-embedded smart card IC with an ARM-based 32bit SC200 Secure Core, a 3-DES encryption standard, a Java accelerator and a PKI crypto processor. Uh huh.

Basically, that means that the card is potentially less susceptible to hack attacks and can play tiny-screen Java tennis even better than before.
