Impact to recruit for new vertical exposure

Impact Systems Technology is trying to attract more channel partners that have exposure in the education and corporate sectors.

Managing director, Peter Agamalis, said this was all apart of a broader plan to target the SoHo market space with its latest notebook, UPS and printer product sets.

The company signed one of its biggest notebook vendor deals with MSI in August.

Impact is looking to recruit a host of new staff as part of its expansion plans. The positions it is looking to fill include product managers, account managers and a sales engineer.

The hiring of more staff stemmed from a growth in business and the introduction of more product sets, Agamalis said.

"Additional products coming on board has put a bit of pressure on our existing resources," he said.

While nothing concrete is in place at the moment, Impact is also planning to open new offices in Melbourne and Perth by the end of next year.

The company is currently running a competition for resellers. The lucky winner will be off to the Gold Coast for a two-night stay at the Versace Hotel. The package includes airfares, limousine pick-up and $500 spending money.

Resellers receive an entry into the draw for every purchase of an Intel Pentium dual-core 2.8GHz processor.
