Juniper hits specialisations Accelerator

Juniper Networks has announced a new J-Partner Application Acceleration Specialisation for its channel partners.

The new program followed its recent acquisitions of accelerated applications and data centre specialist, Redline Networks, and WAN acceleration and optimisation client, Peribit Networks, A/NZ vice-president, Shaun Page, said.

The specialisation program offers partners training and accreditations for its DX data centre acceleration and WX WAN acceleration and optimisation products.

"As with any J-Partner program it's essentially a knowledge transfer so these organisations can go out and support the products as they're installed," he said.

The tiered program is available to select or elite J-Partner dealers, who must complete training courses and examinations to gain certification. It also includes sales and engineering training.

"It represents a significant opportunity for partners to take this as a complementary offering for the work they do and to enhance the LAN/WAN solutions they are taking in," Page said.

The J-Partner specialisation program currently had less than 10 of Peribit's existing partners signed up but Page said Juniper was looking to grow that number.

"Partners that are interested in these particular products are encouraged to complete the training," he said. "We are not looking to clutter the market with a whole host of resellers but, at the same time, we want to scale the coverage."
