Security software provider, Websense, has rolled out it first official channel program and opened a Melbourne office in response to increasing demand in the Web security and Web filtering arena.
ANZ country manager, Joel Camissar, said the company was growing globally year-on-year at 33 per cent. While he couldn't provide local numbers, he claimed it was doubling its revenue targets and finding success in medium to large enterprise.
As part of the newly hatched partner program, Websense was inviting premium, authorised and reseller partners to the table, Camissar said. Premium partners required two Websense certified engineers and two sales specialists, while authorised partners needed one of each to earn the status.
The company currently has 20 partners across the country.
"The program is designed to suit all tastes ... and to reinvigorate the Websense channel and make certifications much clearer," he said.
For example, existing partners, Dimension Data and ComputerCorp, would be listed as premium partners.
The program would provide coop funding, risk assessment services and dedicated sales, Camissar said. Websense is also rolling out go-to-market strategies which will look to expand sales through horizontal markets as well as key verticals including banking and finance.
Camissar said the new Melbourne office would also help to provide more localised support to partners. Staff on-hand will include a pre-sales engineer, channel manager and territory manager.
