Exceed Systems Integration has won a $2.2 million infrastructure upgrade contract with the Department of Finance and administration.
A subsidiary of The ASG Group, the deal will see Exceed replacing the Federal Government department's email, file, print, management and directory services with a new best practice environment.
Chief sales and marketing manager, Jega Rajan, said the contract had been subject to a comprehensive tender process. Exceed beat off competition from Volante and Kaz Group to secure the deal.
"We spent a lot of time on understanding the needs of the customer and putting the solutions together," Rajan said.
The contract also includes a three-year support clause and the option for a two-year extension.
Exceed will also be replacing the department's desktop and laptop standard operating environments with Microsoft applications. The new environments should be in place by the end of the year and will be supported until 2010.
Rajan said more than half of Exceed's revenues were derived from government contracts.
