NetBox creator, Trent Davis, has won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Queensland and Northern Territory region.
The 28-year old was recognised for his efforts in establishing the NetBox Blue business in Queensland and developing its flagship product, NetBox. The unit is designed to provide users with a complete IT security package in one box.
According to the company, Davis has already notched up 16 years of hands-on experience in IT hardware and software development as well as project management. He started by writing and selling software systems for childcare centres while at secondary school.
"If we are going to enjoy success we would prefer to do so in Queensland," Davis said. "We are proud to be part of a software industry that is the largest and most advanced of any state in Australia.
"The Young Entrepreneur Award certainly more than justifies the decision to stay in Queensland.
"I am confident that it will be an important milestone in our company's progress and in supporting our business goals."
