VeriSign Expands Asia Pacific Team with Three New Appointments

<p>VeriSign Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN), the leading provider of intelligent infrastructure services for the Internet and telecommunications networks, today announced it has expanded its Asia Pacific team with three new appointments based in Sydney – David Lawton, Stephan Overbeek and Emma Keen.</p>
<p>David Lawton – Account Manager, Enterprise</p>
<p>David Lawton has been appointed as account manager – enterprise, responsible for the growth and business development of VeriSign's enterprise business in Australia.</p>
<p>Prior to joining VeriSign, David was business development manager for Dimension Data’s managed services division. He also held senior account management positions at Com Tech, Dimension Data and more recently SecureData Group, which was acquired by Dimension Data in 2004.</p>
<p>Stephan Overbeek – Managing Security Consultant</p>
<p>Stephan Overbeek has joined the VeriSign Consulting business in Australia as managing security consultant. He is responsible for helping Australian customers identify security threats to their business, as well as developing and implementing security management solutions. In addition, he is responsible for growing the VeriSign Consulting team in Sydney.</p>
<p>Stephan brings over nine years’ information security experience to VeriSign, particularly in strategic information security and risk management within financial institutions, government and enterprises. Prior to joining VeriSign, Stephan was managing consultant for Cybertrust in Australia. He also held a number of organisational and technical security roles in the Netherlands.</p>
<p>Emma Keen – Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific</p>
<p>Emma Keen has been appointed as marketing manager for the VeriSign Security Services division in Asia Pacific, responsible for corporate marketing and public relations in the region. Emma brings over eight years’ experience in public relations and marketing communications to VeriSign, with a strong focus on IT security within the Asia Pacific region.</p>
<p>Prior to joining VeriSign, Emma was PR and marketing communications manager for MessageLabs in Asia Pacific. Before that she managed enterprise public relations in the region for Symantec.</p>
