New Finance Director for Getronics

<p>Sydney, 7 September 2005 – Getronics has appointed Andrew Ashton as Director, Finance of its Australian operation. Ashton has been acting in the role for three months and will continue to focus on company growth, with Getronics already expanding into converged communications with the introduction of its Converged Communications division in July.</p>
<p>Ashton will concentrate on ensuring that the company’s cost structure is competitive while maintaining customer satisfaction across the business. Ashton will also focus on streamlining internal processes and improving both the quality and timing of business intelligence to the executive team to allow faster, more informed decision making.</p>
<p>Ashton brings considerable experience to Getronics. Most recently he was the Finance Director for PeopleSoft for the Asia Pacific Japan region with overall responsibility for the finance function across 10 countries in the region. Andrew was key in the successful integration of JD Edwards into PeopleSoft following a merger in July 2003.</p>
<p>Prior to this, Andrew held a number of senior financial positions with Oracle, including Senior Finance Director, Asia Pacific where he was instrumental in restructuring local finance teams from back office accountants to ‘business partners’. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Newcastle University.</p>
