Software Alliance Group (SAG) has added South African software vendor, Alchemex International, to its books.
As the exclusive Australian distributor, the group will carry its reporting solution which takes information from databases and renders it into Excel format.
SAG managing director, John North, said the company would work to capture the strong demand across the market for reporting tools.
"Larger companies may spend up to 30 hours a month just on manual reporting in Excel," he said. "With this product they could get up to $50,000 a year in savings."
SAG would use a two-pronged strategy to locally replicate Alchemex's 90 per cent South African market share, North said. At the top-end, it would encourage accounting software vendors to integrate Alchemex into their applications.
SAG would also look to recruit up to 100 new resellers and five regionally based sub-distributors for the vendor over the coming year, North said.
"We will target resellers of other accounting packages as well professional bookkeepers," he said. "We are looking to grow the rest of the business so are open to new opportunities in distribution too."
SAG would also aim to partner with additional vendors in the document management and service industry sectors in the coming months, North said.
