Industrial hardware specialist, Backplane Systems Technology (BST), has moved into a larger headquarters and is looking to recruit new staff.
The move, which sees the distributor staying in the Sydney suburb of Mt Kuring-Gai, has been fuelled by ongoing expansion.
It had recorded annual revenue growth of 20 per cent for the past five years, marketing manager, Kristy Comb, said.
"Security sales have definitely increased in recent times," she said. "However, we are finding more business in the public sector, like R&D and systems integration."
Larger deals were also being won across the utilities, point-of-sale and hospitality verticals, Comb said.
The new premises, which are four times larger than its previous site, would also provide additional face-to-face training and technical support to attract resellers as the company worked toward building a national dealer network.
"The plan is to increase our reseller numbers during the next 18 months," she said. "The capacity in our new premises can support us tripling our business."
The company would also look to expand its product portfolio with a number of new vendors during the next quarter, Comb said. She was unable to provide further details at this stage.
