APC opens new demo sites

American Power Conversion (APC) is opening three new offices and demonstration sites in Canberra, Brisbane and Auckland. The power protection vendor said the new premises would provide end-users and partners with an opportunity to view its advanced data centre solutions.

Featured products range from uninterruptible power supply (UPS) protection for the home through to InfraStruXure, its network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI) solution.

APC marketing manager, Caroline Clements, said resellers could take customers to the facilities to show them the different technologies in action.

"When customer's see them, they see real business value. It's a real help to the channel," she said.

APC South Asia general manager, Leanne Cunnold, claimed its InfraStruXure solution was a totally new way to build data centres, removing the guesswork of planning, delays and risks of installing critical applications. It integrates power, cooling, rack, management and services for the server room and data centre.

APC is looking to recruit more resellers for its Certified Reseller Partner Program depending on the demand and the ability to service the market.

"We'll provide training, deal registration, price protection and different pricing structures, depending on how much they invest into the program," Cunnold said.
