The Shiro Corporation, a subsidiary of the Singapore OEM/ODM manufacturer Aztech, has appointed Natcomp Technology the sole Australian distributor for its range of home and office consumer electronics.
"Natcomp has been an importer and distributor of computer hardware since 1987, but we feel the market is strong enough to move into consumer electronics," managing director of Natcomp, Fabio Grassia, said.
The company plans to continue its push into the digital camera and MP3 markets with the introduction of a range of Shiro products aimed specifically at the home, SME and corporate office.
"The Shiro range of MP3 and digital cameras not only complements our existing product line-up, but also fills the void across our audio visual spectrum," Grassia said.
Although Natcomp already distributed a variety of Shiro products through dealers and mass retail channels, it planned to expand its portfolio further, he said.
"There has been exceptional growth in the audio visual market, and we feel the time is right to further develop operations," Grassia said.
Shiro routers and a line of iPod compatible speakers will also be added to Natcomp's portfolio in September.
