• 17 August, 2005 10:12

SYDNEY, August 17, 2005 – Fortinet – the confirmed market leader in Unified Threat Management and only provider of ASIC-accelerated, network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection – has appointed data security specialist Steve Clack as Manager, Australia and New Zealand.

Steve was previously Channel Director ANZ for Trend Micro and he is a former UK Sales Director for McAfee. He was also Director of a secure networking company in the UK, and UK Managing Director of a web-based customer service solutions provider.

Steve says: “Fortinet has an industry-acclaimed product in what IDC says is the fastest growing segment of the security market. By 2008, IDC projects the UTM security system category will consist of a majority of the $3.45 billion market – outpacing the traditional firewall/VPN appliances sector – with 58% of the overall share.

“My top priorities will include channels development, with a strong focus on bringing new resellers on board, supporting end users and generating leads for our partners. I intend to build closer relationships with our resellers and distributors, and through these, with the user base.
