NetMotion Wireless, a secure infrastructure provider for enterprise wireless networks, is looking for resellers in the Australian market as part of an internal expansion plan.
The company is the developer of Mobility XE, a software-only VPN mobile computing product for enterprise wireless networking.
With its international base in the UK, NetMotion is poised to unleash its product in Europe and has its sights on Australia for a 2006 launch.
"At the moment we are establishing partner relationships remotely, but plan on a strong focus in Australia once we set up operations in Europe," international senior vice-president of NetMotion Wireless, Stef Coetzee, said.
The company has experienced considerable success in the US with the recent launch of Mobility XE version 6.5, and feels because of the huge interest in Australia for wireless solutions, the time is right to set up local partnerships.
"We hope to build on the success of our 700 customers in the US, to extend our software and its benefits to GPRS, 3G and WLAN in Australia," he said.
NetMotion is already offering its product to a number of limited resellers in Australia but plans to expand its operations in the next six months.
NetMotion's partners are eligible for a range of partner benefits including discounted sales and online training support. The company also offers not-for-resale products at no cost to resellers for internal use.
"Our current early work in the Australian market is to secure the first few [early adopter] Australian reference customers to build on the US success we have enjoyed," Coetzee said.
