Innovision ups the ante with convergence speakers

Audio-video distributor Innovision Technology has boosted its speaker range with the introduction of Altec Lansing's new line of stereo speaker systems.

Sharing Altec Lansing distribution rights with Audion, Innovision supplies resellers with computer-based accessories and peripherals. They also distribute Altec Pro, AV Labs and inMotion products.

The addition of Altec Lansing's new speaker line, the VS2220, VS2221 and VS4221, marks the expansion of Innovision's product line into more convergent technologies.

"The popularity of convergence speakers is growing rapidly, and likely to continue," said Ray Anshuman, marketing manager for Innovision.

Although it is aimed at the home PC user market, the VS series is also compatible with television, DVD players, game consoles and MP3 players.

"This line fills the gap between our lower end audio solutions and the high end," Anshuman said.

The VS series will be available to conventional channel distributors, dealers and major electronic retailers, he said.

Recommended retail price for the VS2220 is $69.95 and $99.95 for the VS2221. Pricing is to be finalised for the VS4221.
