Security software vendor, Sophos, wants to add 100 new resellers to push a range of SMB products launched last year.
Traditionally associated with enterprise security, SMB sales currently account for just five per cent of Sophos sales locally.
Director of sales, David Higgins, said he was keen to double that figure.
"The only way to get increased coverage in the SMB space is through the channel," he said.
Increasing its base of SMB resellers to 350 across the country would also help boost channel revenues beyond 70 per cent of its business, Higgins said.
The Sophos channel is now managed by Zoe Nicholson, who came to Australia from the company's UK headquarters in December.
She currently leads a team of three but plans to double that headcount by the end of next month.
