NetBox founder listed for entrepreneurial flair

NetBox founder, Trent Davis, has been listed as one of 89 Australian finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year awards. He is also a contender for the Young Australian Entrepreneur of the Year title.

Davis established the IT security hardware vendor in Brisbane six years ago at the age of 21. Its flagship NetBox system is designed to provide SMBs with a single unit Internet security package.

The Entrepreneur of the Year awards program was created by Ernst & Young in the US in 1986 and came to Australia in 2001. The local winner goes on to the world final, held in Monte Carlo. Davis said he was honoured just to be recognised as a regional finalist in such a high profile event. The regional awards will be presented at the Brisbane Hilton Hotel on August 4.
