Hitachi shows partners the Japanese way

Hitachi Data Systems took its first all-Australian contingent of executives and partners on its annual briefing in Japan last month.

The contingent consisted of partners Alphawest, CSC, Powercor, SAP and Promina, as well as representatives from the Department of Workplace Relations, Environment and Heritage and Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Marketing manager, Tim Smith, said the trip was designed to give attendees an insight into its giant partner company, Hitachi Ltd, as well as first-hand exposure to its six Central Research Laboratories.

Guests also attended briefings on the vendor's latest storage solutions and met its top international researchers, while also looking into the latest technologies for government business.
