HP's top channel partners were rewarded with a trip to China and Vietnam in recognition of stellar sales and support during 2004. As part of the channel rewards program, 20 partners trekked to China (where they are pictured at the Great Wall of China) while another 20 meandered through Vietnam. Points varied depending on the type of products or services sold. All participants (600 partners entered in 2004) redeemed their points for a variety of rewards including homewares, BBQ sets, plasma screen TVs and digital cameras. The Platinum and Gold earners, the 40 highest point earners, were each rewarded with the overseas trip. The rewards program has been running for more than 10 years.
