Peregrine software has announced the local roll-out of its global PartnerEdge program.
The initiative will see the asset and service management software vendor's channel divided into three tiers - strategic, preferred and business. It will also boost its sales and technical training offerings as well as provide joint marketing and business planning, lead-generation, certification and support.
The move was a bid to grow the vendor's footprint, A/NZ country manager, Ged Caldwell, said.
"The program is about gaining more strategic coverage," he said. "In a lot of markets across the globe we have decided to enhance our partner model as partners can bring a lot of local knowledge, capability and support."
Caldwell said the program would also be used to recruit further partners to the company's stables. Already three new resellers - Senetas, Satyam and Birlasoft - had been brought onboard.
"The additions to our partner program have been specifically made because of customer requests for their strategic systems integrators to become skilled up in Peregrine," he said.
The vendor's direct arm had also moved closer towards being a partner enablement resource, Caldwell said. A new business development manager had been hired and the company was also looking to take on a strategic account manager and partner enablement specialist.
In addition to growing its partner base, Peregrine was also on track to increasing its customer base by around 10 per cent this financial year, Caldwell said.
The vendor would announce several new initiatives and areas of complementary business at its annual Synergy event in Las Vegas in June, Caldwell said.
