Atdec’s Blister Packs Display Systems for Greater Retail Convenience

In-house designers use understanding of local market to
develop appealing new products that drive more sales

SYDNEY, Australia, 13 May, 2005. Australian designer and manufacturer, Atdec Pty Limited, has put its new visual display systems for flat panel TVs and monitors in blister packs for easy and space-efficient wall-mounting in retail outlets. As well, Atdec’s in-house designers have developed products that will appeal to the style-conscious consumer giving retailers more potential for the dual sale of TV plus mounting system.

Between them, the two new and stylish additions to Atdec’s Telehook range will hold virtually every size LCD and flat panel display from 12” to 55” (30cm to 140cm) so retailers need only stock two products instead of many.

“The products are blister-packed right up to the 55” (140cm) size,” said Atdec’s Managing Director, Steve Crozier. “This means they hang easily and neatly on the wall for display and create ‘top of mind’ recall when hung next to flat panel displays. It’s great for increasing the total sell,” he said.

“In the past, systems for mounting flat panel TVs and LCDs have left a lot to be desired in terms of aesthetics,” said Mr Crozier. “At Atdec, our designers are aware how much décor plays a part in today’s corporate and home environment and the new Telehook products reflect that market trend. They complement the sleek appearance of the flat panel world while retaining the strength required to support heavy, valuable equipment.

The Telehook 12-30 Multi is three products in one. It can mount LCD and plasma flat panel displays from 12” to 30” (30cm to 76 cm) in size flat against the wall, or on a single swing arm, or on an articulated swing arm. The versatile Telehook Multi is ideal for use in the home, office, boat or mobile home. It suits all VESA-compliant flat panel displays with 3” x 3” (75mm x 75mm), 4” x 4” (100mm x 100mm) and 4” x 8” (100mm x 200mm) hole patterns, and supports up to 18kgs in weight.

The super slim design of Telehook 31-55TW enables the rear of the display to be mounted just 60mm from the wall. It suits almost all LCD and plasma flat panel displays from 31” to 55” (78cm to 140cm) with both VESA and non-VESA-compliant hole patterns. Ideal for commercial and domestic applications such as retail, hospitality and home theatre, the product supports units of up to 60kgs in weight mounted on masonry, timber studs or dry walls. It also features an adjustable tilt feature offering a range from -5 to +10 degrees. The theft-resistant design includes a security tool.

“The flat panel TV sector is booming according to US-based CEA Market Research * which projects that ‘between 2003 and 2007, unit sales to dealers of plasma digital TV will skyrocket another 4,406% -- with dollar sales rising 2,987%’,” said Mr Crozier. “As both a local vendor and exporter to the USA and Europe, I predict Australia is poised to enjoy the same growth potential.”

The Telehook units include hardware, cable management, a five-year warranty and are quick and easy to install.

“We partner with most of the key AV organisations such as NEC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Samsung, LG, BenQ and Sharp, designing equipment to suit their individual products. These relationships and our own research keep us informed of worldwide trends ensuring our products meet market demand and emerging technology requirements,” added Mr Crozier.
