AMD appoints ANZ distribution manager

<p>Sydney, Australia — 2 May 2005 — AMD today announced the appointment of Caleb Leung as Distribution Manager.</p>
<p>Mr Leung, who joins AMD after five years as a senior product manager with local IT distributor, Ingram Micro Pty Ltd, will be responsible for managing the company’s network of Australian and New Zealand distributors, including Avnet and Legend.</p>
<p>“We are very pleased that Caleb is joining us. With seven years experience in the Australian market, he is a real asset to AMD and will help to strengthen our local presence,” said Bryan Low, Director of Sales and Marketing, AMD, South Asia Pacific.</p>
<p>Mr Leung holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and Master of Commerce, from the University of New South Wales.</p>
<p>Mr Leung will report to Mr Low, who manages AMD’s Australia and New Zealand operations from Singapore and acts as country manager for AMD locally.</p>
<p>With Australia and New Zealand as key markets in the region, AMD will be looking to invest in additional local resources during 2005, with a focus on growing opportunities within the local OEM channel and commercial enterprise areas.</p>
