Unwired wins ATUG carrier of the year

Unwired Australia has been crowned Carrier of The Year for 2005 by the Australian Telecommunications User Group (ATUG).

The award is designed to recognise a significant contribution to users over the year, according to ATUG. The nominees are judged on the quality of customer service and implementation, application benefits, performance and reliability.

Unwired CEO, David Spence, said the award was a major achievement for a company that had been operating for just six months.

"We believe it reflects the positive impact our entry has had on consumers and businesses with pricing and availability as well as our network quality, our status as an infrastructure competitor and the strength of our management team and partners," he said.
