Volante has scored a three-year contract worth $6.7 million to provide maintenance and support for the desktop, mid-range and storage infrastructure of the Federal Government Department of Finance and Administration.
The deal is the ASX-listed service provider’s fourth major Commonwealth Government win and will see it oust IBM Global Services when the contract comes into effect in November.
Since March last year, Volante has also picked up a $9.4 million contract to provide on-site support for all electoral offices across the country, a $16 million outsourcing deal with the Department of Transport and Regional Services, and an extension to its supply contract with Group 8 worth up to $40 million per year until 2009.
“We’re very pleased to be achieving success in the managed services space as an Australian company,” Volante COO, Hugh Bickerstaff, said. “This deal extends our relationship with the Commonwealth Government and I hope working with us becomes a habit.”
