destra launches destra Business & wins PowerTel Partner of the Year award

<p>destra Corporation Limited (ASX:DES) (destra) has announced the launch of destra Business, a company providing end-to-end managed services and business communications solutions. destra Business is the result of the merger of two destra Corporation divisions - Techex Communications and Advanced.</p>
<p>The announcement comes on the heels of destra Business’s communications arm being awarded the prestigious PowerTel Partner of the Year from a field of 160 communications service providers at last week’s yearly PowerTel Partner Forum held on the Gold Coast in the second week of February.</p>
<p>“This is the second time we have been awarded Partner of the Year in the PowerTel Partner program’s four year history,” said Chris Collinge, destra Business Director of Communications (formerly known as Techex Communications). “Being the only organisation to win this award twice publicly recognises the dedication and sheer effort the staff put in daily to support and care for our growing customer base.”</p>
<p>The recent union of the two destra Corporation entities is part of the company’s strategy to position it as a comprehensive end-to-end managed services provider of business communications solutions nationally.</p>
<p>The breadth and depth of services and products include voice and data communications, enterprise and collocated hosting, full managed hosting services for all platforms, domain registration, wireless and broadband connectivity, network integration and data centre facilities.</p>
<p>destra Business strategic partners comprise Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Dell, Red Hat, Cisco and iBurst. Some of the company’s customers include St Vincent de Paul, Ikea Australia, SAI Global and Southcorp.</p>

<p>destra recently announced consolidated group revenues of $6.5M for the six-month period ending 31 December 2004 - up 67 per cent from the previous corresponding half.</p>
