-- Life for Prion Distribution Technology's top resellers certainly seems to be a mix of heady profits and mouth-watering junkets.
In recognition of topping the $110 million revenue mark for 1997-98, the Melbourne-based distributor yesterday rewarded the five resellers which made it into the organisation's Platinum Club -- DPL, Microarts, Computer Systems Australia, Volante and Interface.
For reaching $113 million for the year, a 19 per cent increase over the previous period, the heads of the five resellers and their spouses have to cop a five-day, all-expenses paid holiday to steamy Club Med Phuket in Thailand.
According to Michael Bosnar, Prion's managing director, the tickets are worthy recognition of the resellers' hard work in tough times.
"We have built some very strong working relationships with our resellers over the past few years, and it's really paying dividends," Bosnar said.
"We really appreciate the fact that these top resellers choose to do business with us in such a highly competitive market."
These latest results consolidate Prion's position as one of the country's leading 2nd-tier distributors as it continues its head-to-head battle with rivals CHA.
