All four local distributors of Computer Associates will present a case to the software giant this week in the hope of retaining its business.
CA’s regional manager, Chris Wilson, said submissions from Tech Pacific, Express Data, Ingram Micro and ACA Pacific had been received by Tuesday’s deadline and each distributor had now taken up the option of formally presenting those proposals.
He said CA would then analyse the submissions and presentations before informing all four of their fate by June 11. A channel review completed in January had recommended a distie cull to remove perceived inefficiencies created by market overlap. A decision had originally been planned by April.
Symantec recently retained Express Data and Ingram Micro from the same list of four distributors following a lengthy review process.
