Networking products from German vendor, Level One, will be distributed in Australia by Sydney-based Tecksel and Melbourne’s Premiere IT.
Citing Germany’s reputation for quality engineering, Tecksel director, Mark Kofahl, said the hardware would eventually become as well-known here as it was in its home market.
Following its launch at CeBIT earlier this month, Kofahl said the products – which were aimed at the home and SMB markets – had already seen great interest from resellers.
Level One's range includes switches, NAS, projector servers, IP cameras, KVM, multimode fibre, media converters, DSL and VPN products.
"They are certainly not the least expensive," Kofahl said. "They are like BMW, a sporty brand aimed more at enthusiasts."
Training sessions in the new products are planned for Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Tecksel has also announced it has begun distributing Sydney-based NetLeveredge security software and hardware.
This includes ThinPoint XP-based thin client appliance servers, NetPoint Internet security appliances and WebGuard individual internet access control appliance servers.
