Bigger and brighter
For a really bright presentation, try the Epson EMP-5100, the big brother of the successful EMP-5000.
The EMP-5100 is 67 per cent brighter than its predecessor, offering 750 ANSI lumens, which makes it the world's brightest portable SVGA projector, according to Epson. Epson has employed the EON II lamp system, a new technology that supports ultra-high efficiency.
It can provide an image size of between 60cm and 10m with 16.7 million colours. The EMP-5100 projects clear images across a room, regardless of the detail. IT has a 300:1 contrast ratio (the ratio between the blackest blacks and the whitest whites), providing sharper colours and richer blacks.
The projector uses three poly-silicon LCDs: one each for red, blue and green. The LCDs provide crisp text and graphics with accurate colours. It can handle every major notebook resolution from VGA to XGA, depending on the presenter's needs.
It comes with a number of accessories, including a remote control, batteries, a Macintosh video adapter and a PS/2 mouse adapter.
The recommended retail price for the EMP-5100 is $11,649.
It has a one-year warranty and an optional two-year warranty.
