Nexon completes buyout of Alcatel business from National Telecoms Group (NTG) – including maintenance contracts and support

<p>NTG customers reap benefits of working with an Alcatel Premium partner who can help make the transition to IP products and applications</p>
<p>Sydney, Thursday, November 11, 2004 – Nexon Asia-Pacific has completed a buyout of the Alcatel business from National Telecoms Group (NTG). The purchase includes all NTG’s Alcatel business, including support and maintenance contracts, existing hardware and spares. The move signals a bid by Nexon to increase its voice converge business revenue by 50 per cent and reflects a commitment to grow its Alcatel business through its premium partner relationship.</p>
<p>Charles Assaf, managing director of Nexon, said, “Nexon has purchased the Alcatel business from NTG to give these customers the opportunity to have a strong relationship with an Alcatel premium partner.”</p>
<p>NTG has approximately 200 Alcatel customers, predominantly with TDM-based PBX products in the small and medium market segments.</p>
<p>Nexon is witnessing first hand customers’ interest in transitioning to IP to take advantage of applications to make them more productive and cutting the cost of doing business.</p>
<p>“This move in the market is no longer reserved by large corporations. We are seeing medium-sized and small businesses looking for solutions,” said Charles Assaf.</p>

We sought a relationship with Alcatel because of its powerful set of products and applications that are highly suited to current market needs.
