The seventh annual Tech Pacific exhibition has hit the road and resellers and vendors alike have declared it a great success.
ExpoTech provided the distributor’s vendor partners with an opportunity to show their wares and meet with resellers, Tech Pacific MD, Kerry Baillie, told ARN.
“The attendance was excellent and - with great support from vendors - we brought more than 1000 resellers to the Sydney show,” he said.
This year’s ExpoTech incorporated day seminars ranging from mobility to brand perceptions. At the Sydney event, 10 vendors – including HP, Netgear and Computer Associates – focused on areas such as networking security and trends in the printing and imaging market.
Tech Pacific's event co-ordinator, Katrina Wood, said that in the past, feedback from vendors indicated they were happy with the format of the actual ExpoTech show but felt it could benefit from educational activities like seminars.
“In locations such as Hobart and Perth where it’s not always feasible, especially for smaller vendors to conduct seminars, ExpoTech provided vendors with an easy and affordable way to reach resellers,” she said.
Director of sales at Tech Pacific, John Walters, told ARN the feedback so far this year had confirmed the valuable role of such an event.
“The fact that Tech Pacific can connect our vendors with the breadth of our customers is paramount to our continued channel strength,” he said.
Remaining ExpoTech’s will be held in Perth on August 20 and Adelaide on September 16.
