PBA Signs Master Access Agreement with Crown Castle for National Rollout

<p>15 April, Sydney….Personal Broadband Australia Pty Ltd. (PBA) announced today that it has signed a five year Master Access Agreement with Crown Castle International. The Agreement allows PBA access to Crown Castle’s 1,400 wireless infrastructure sites across Australia.</p>
<p>Speaking on the announcement Jim Cooney, CEO, PBA said, “Crown Castle has had a close involvement with PBA since its inception and this agreement will help us to quickly deploy our iBurst services across Australia. “</p>
<p>“As Australia’s leading independent owner and operator of shared wireless infrastructure, we are committed to assisting new wireless players such as PBA in the rollout of its network,” said Mr Andrew Bailey, Managing Director, Crown Castle International. He added, “Our extensive network of sites around Australia will ensure PBA a rapid market entry.”</p>
<p>PBA has already built an iBurst network in Sydney covering over 1,000,000 people and 200,000 homes. The company will widen this coverage with the deployment of further base stations and extend the iBurst network into Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra later this year.</p>
<p>Cooney concluded, “With the official iBurst service launched last month, access to Crown Castle’s base station sites will help us to maintain high levels of quality, availability, reliability, responsiveness and support as customer numbers increase.”</p>
