NexG u-Box Micro PC
NexG Technologies has introduced the u-Box Micro PC barebone system. The u-Box motherboard has an Intel chipset that supports Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron processors up to 3.0GHz. It has onboard sound (Realteck), an onboard 64MB Intel Extreme 3D graphics card, and a Realtek 10/100MB Fast Ethernet Controller. Its system memory can handle up to 1GB of RAM. The system also provides two USB 2.0 ports, two IEE 1394 ports (firewire), and two audio jacks (line-out/MIC). The rear of u-Box has two PS2 connectors, one 9-pin serial port, one VGA port, one RJ-45 connector, two USB 2.0 ports and two audio jacks (line-out/MIC). The u-Box is made out of aluminium alloy, which the company claims helps dissipate heat more efficiently. The body weighs 1.95kg. Target markets are corporates, governments and schools. Hallmark Computers Viewmaster Apollo
Hallmark Computers recently released the Viewmaster Apollo. Designed for SMEs, the Apollo uses an Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz processor with Hyper Threading technology, features a Gigabyte GA-8IG1000MK motherboard, an 80GB Seagate hard drive, 512MB DDR400 RAM , a 1.44 MB Floppy Drive from Panasonic, a Sony 52x CDRW and a 17-inch Viewmaster Real Flat CRT monitor. Peripherals include a Viewmaster keyboard, optical mouse and 180W USB speakers. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft XP Home. Hallmark will also configure the Apollo to customers’ specifications. NexG Acorp Access Mini PC
The Acorp Access Mini PC barebone system from NexG includes an Intel chipset motherboard with 800MHz bus. It supports hyperthreading technology and can be replaced with any other small form factor motherboard if so desired, according to the company. It has an onboard soundcard, network card, one PCI slot, one AGP slot, and an Intel Extreme Graphics 2 card. With respect to the input/output panel, the system provides ports for a 7-in-1 card Reader, one IEEE 1394, two USB 2.0, one Mic, and one headphone connector. The connectors at the back are more complete, with the usual package including Serial Port and PS2. The Access provides S-Video and AV ports. Each allows users to connect different audio equipment.
