Ingram Micro Australia and Computer Associates (CA) have joined forces in a fundraising promotion to raise money for cancer charity, CanTeen.
During the month of August, both companies will donate $1 to the charity for every CA eTrust Security and BrightStor storage product sold by Ingram Micro.
To encourage resellers to get behind the fundraising activity, the biggest purchaser of CA products will be presented with a framed ACT Brumbies rugby union jersey, signed by the 2002 team.
Ingram Micro’s Rodney Thorne said it was very satisfying to be teaming up with CA for the fundraising exercise.
“CanTeen receives only minimal government funding and needs to raise $4 million a year to run its very worthwhile programs and services,” he said.
“We’ll be driving this promotion hard to ensure that we raise as much money for the organisation as possible.”
CanTeen is a national support organisation for young people (aged 12 to 24) living with cancer — including patients and their families. Behind CanTeen is the belief that young people, through meeting and talking with one another, are better able to cope with the uncertainties of a cancer diagnosis.
