Trend Micro plans to hold an annual conference for its resellers.
The company already implements quarterly seminars and road shows for its resellers, but sees the conference as a way to take channel support to the next level.
“We see this as a way to get all the channel partners from Australia and New Zealand together,” national channel and distribution manager, Steve Clack, said.
The conference will combine education, training and new technologies over a two- to three-day period.
The company also hopes to start a new rewards program at the conference. This will reward resellers for their achievements.
“We plan to present awards to the best reseller in each state,” Clack said. “This not only thanks resellers for their hard work, it also creates healthy competition.”
Although the first conference is not planned until the next quarter, the company hopes to hold future conferences at the beginning of the year.
“We want it to become a kind of channel kick-off,” Clack said. “We see this as a way to invest back into the channel.”
