Distributor, ALSTOM Australia, has formed an alliance with security developer, Protocom, to deliver single sign-on and password management solutions.
ALSTOM will distribute Protocom SecureLogin, a software application described by the distributor as the industry’s most mature single sign-on and authentication solution.
“Protocom SecureLogin is a perfect complement to the security and server based computing products in which ALSTOM specialise,” ALSTOM General Manager, Greg Newham, said.
“Our security and server based computing specialist resellers are now able to offer additional value to their clients with the most mature single sign-on technology we have seen.”
According to Protocom, SecureLogin increased network security by allowing a user to have several complex passwords that they were not required to remember. Once SecureLogin was installed, users would only be required to remember a single user ID and password to access the network.
SecureLogin can be administered from the server or the workstation. Administrators have full control over the user's interface, and can control which applications, web sites and systems are single sign-on enabled."
"ALSTOM has a proven track record bringing new technologies to market as a value add distributor,” Protocom vice-president, AsiaPacific, Carl Terrantroy, said.
