Systems integrator Dimension Data (DiData) has signed an agreement with ECI Telecom to jointly market ECI’s broadband DSL products in Australia.
National Solutions Director at DiData, Dave D’Aprano, said the agreement with the international telco provided the integrator with a great opportunity for offering products and services to carrier companies.
“Our association with ECI spans more than 10 year, the early years of which were spent installing and supporting ECI's packet-switching and multiplexing product range,” he said.
Head of Broadband Solutions at ECI, Pinny Chaviv, said there was a great chance to put a footprint on the Australian broadband landscape.
“They [Dimension Data] have Australia-wide coverage, a long and impressive track record in providing solutions to telecommunications providers both here and in the Asia-Pacific region,” he said.
The flagship product from ECI, Hi-FOCuS Multi-Service Access Gateway, integrates all major voice, data and video network services onto a single high-bandwidth platform.
D’Aprano said that ECI's broadband technologies represented an open and economical framework for the successful rollout of DSL services by Australian carriers.
“This partnership is a unique proposition for Australia's telecommunications providers, combining ECI's cost-effective, open technology with Dimension Data's services and support,” he said.
